An 18th-century finca,
reimagined
In the style that made the island famous
With the original layout of an 18th-century finca, the villa was completely restored and enlarged by one of the most notable architectural designers and environmentalists of the island in the early 1970s — in the very style that made Lanzarote famous.
It has recently undergone significant renovations and adaptations to modernise it, while always preserving its unique character. Las Pérgolas Villa Rural is now a Vivienda Vacacional.
Traditional Canary architecture, kept alive
White-painted structures regulate the heat; terraced roofs are crowned with decorative chimneys. Timber elements, traditional pottery and aljibes — the old water cisterns — anchor the home in its place.
Palm-leaf decorations are made using original aboriginal techniques. Nothing here is pastiche; it is the real, lived language of the island.
Abundant space, endless horizon
Generous outdoor space opens to views of Puerto del Carmen and the ocean. A swimming pool in the local style nestles among native vegetation and sculptural cacti.
